Cupids In Silver, A Bracelet by Robert Strosin
A thoughtful and considerate surprise from a husband to a wife is always a welcome gift, especially when the present is created by the hands of the spouse. Handmade gifts always carry a little more meaning in the eyes of the receiver, regardless of the medium.
Robert Strosin engraved this silver bracelet as a surprise Christmas gift for his wife Betty. "Because the cupid is 'The God of Love', I thought cupids would look nice with the arabesque scroll," said Strosin on the inspiration behind his design. Through creating this bracelet, Strosin said he discovered that jewelry is fun to make and engrave.
Strosin has been engraving since 1978 and currently resides in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Although he is mostly self-taught, this FEGA member (and former guild President and Treasurer) has refined his engraving skills with four Grand Masters courses at the GRS Training Center. Strosin used square gravers and a GRS Airtact with his engraving machine to complete this beautiful engraving.
